Architecture Studio 3 for AY 2025-2026
We are pleased to welcome Nicola Braghieri as Visiting Professor for Architecture Studio 3 in summer 2026. A distinguished architect, scholar, and educator, Braghieri is Professor of Theory and Practice of Digital Fine Arts at the School of Architecture of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Following his PhD in Theory and Methodology of Architecture, he has held academic appointments and teaching roles at the University of Genoa, TU Darmstadt, ETH Zurich, EPFL Lausanne, SSEAU Naples, TUH Hanover, LFH Leipzig, RWTH Aachen, the University of Stuttgart, ENSA Paris-Est MLV, and the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio. He is the author of several books and has published widely in international journals and magazines on architectural theory, criticism, and design. Since 2013, he has directed the Arts of Sciences Laboratory (LAPIS — Laboratoire des arts pour les sciences) at EPFL. Bringing together about 25 researchers and teaching assistants, the laboratory examines the relationship between art and science through the study of theories and techniques of architectural and territorial representation.
